Peter Miller
Founder


Peter Miller is a registered Patent Agent and founder of Run8 Patent Group, a San Francisco Bay Area patent prosecution firm specializing in developing strategic patent portfolios for technology startups.

Drawing on his bachelors and masters degrees in mechanical engineering from Stanford University and his engineering experience in mechatronics, manufacturing, and computer science at both startups and public companies, he has filed several hundred patent applications on a broad range of hardware and software technologies, including medical devices, manufacturing systems, autonomous vehicle technologies, robotics, food systems, drones, Internet security, ag-tech, IoT, and wearable devices.

Cameron Miller
Veep


Cameron provides support to the founding Partner as well as Run8's clientele. She serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the office of the Founder.

She organizes and coordinates outreach, external relations, and oversees special projects. She also leads finance, docketing, and recruitment efforts.

Leah Raddatz
Patent Agent


Leah Raddatz is a registered Patent Agent with a background in chemical and biological engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She holds a Master's Degree in Patent Law from the University of Minnesota Law School and is a published researched scientist in the field of analytical biochemistry.

At Run8 Patent Group, Leah leverages her technical expertise and experience in patent prosecution to develop patent portfolios and prosecute patents across a wide range of technologies including materials, processing, agriculture, biology, food science, mechanical design, consumer goods, ad tech, and data security.

Alexander Rodriguez
Patent Agent


Alexander Rodriguez is a registered patent agent with a commitment to obtaining quality patents for his clients. He has a passion for electronics and audio engineering and holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Florida International University.

With his engineering background and several years of patent prosecution experience at a boutique Miami law firm, Alexander has drafted applications and managed U.S. and foreign patent portfolios for clients with maturing patent portfolios in various technological fields, including electronic devices, audio devices, software, health information exchange, medical processes, renewable plastics, and vehicle mechanics

Alexis Smith is a Patent Engineer who holds a Bachelor's degree in Materials Science & Engineering with an emphasis in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California-Davis. She holds a Master of Science in Law degree from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law where she focused on Intellectual Property Law and Entrepreneurship.

Alexis leverages her expertise in business, law, and technology to draft patent applications and develop patent portfolios in technical fields such as advanced materials, medical devices, semiconductors, electronic devices, artificial intelligence, and software/LIDAR.

Brian Chew
Patent Agent


Brian Chew is a registered Patent Agent with a background in electrical engineering from Virginia Tech. He holds a Master's Degree in Audio Technology from American University.

Brian has drafted and prosecuted patent applications across a wide range of hardware and software technologies, including media streaming technologies, IoT devices, wireless communication, automotive systems, cybersecurity, and advertising technologies. As a former patent examiner, he has examined patent applications related to computer task management, cloud computing, and virtual machine control.

Alena Klindziuk
Patent Agent


Alena is a Patent Engineer who holds a Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Rice University and a B.A. in Physics from Bryn Mawr College. Prior to joining Run8 Patent Group, Alena worked at a Houston-based intellectual property law firm on preparation and prosecution of patent applications in a variety of technological fields including Internet of things, image processing, programmable logic, semiconductor devices, wireless communication, and amusement park entertainment. Alena’s graduate work involved using physics, mathematics, and computational tools to study complex biological systems such as the molecular mechanisms of DNA transcription and gene expression. Alena also has research experience in nanomaterial and nanodevice fabrication and characterization.

At Run8 Patent Group, Alena uses her technical knowledge and patent prosecution experience to develop patent portfolios for a diverse set of technology startups.

Stephanie Johnson
Paralegal


Stephanie specializes in patent and trademark law, assisting boutique IP law firms in the Pacific Northwest for 20+ years. She provides patent prosecution support such as: drafting and proofreading documents; processing and reporting incoming correspondence from the United States Patent and Trademark Office; docketing support; and assisting in special projects.

Danielle Michaud
Patent Agent


Danielle Michaud is a registered Patent Agent who holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with an emphasis in Environmental Analysis from Harvey Mudd College.

Prior to joining the Run8 team, Danielle honed her patent prosecution skills in both large law firm and startup settings where she managed strategy for US and international portfolios. Danielle has experience working with a breadth of technologies including virtual reality, cleantech, blockchain, aerospace, IoT, and medical devices.
